Let’s Build A Cake!

Ok, imma let y’all get back to baking but COOKIE BUTTER IS THE BEST THING EVER CREATED! Mixed with a deliciously moist cake and velvety smooth buttercream? *dramatically faints* Somebody catch me!

Now, I’m not gonna hold you long because by now, I’m sure your mouth is watering over this delicious cake recipe and I don’t want to keep you waiting. You’re welcome. 😊

To make this easy cake, you need to start with my deliciously moist vanilla cake recipe. You can use any other favorite vanilla cake recipe as well, but I mean… will it be as great as mine? I don’t know. But I do know this specific combination with my cake is a winner fa sho!

You will also need my velvety smooth buttercream recipe. The type of buttercream you use makes ALL the difference! Trust me on this one, there really are no substitutes for this. Mix up his buttercream recipe with crushed Biscoff Cookies and it’s ready to go.

QUICK TIP: Mix large chunks of cookies with finely crushed cookies to add flavor and texture. If you are wanting to pipe the cookie butter buttercream you can use finely ground cookies. Another way I make my cookie butter buttercream is by melting cookie butter and mixing it into the buttercream.

In between the layers of vanilla cake and buttercream, lies the star of the show: cookie butter. Don’t ask me to explain what cookie butter is because all I know is that it is a drip of creamy gold from the heavenly skies! But in case you really need to know, here’s an image of the ingredients.

These are the basic ingredients to make this cookie butter cake and is so easy! Once you have layered your vanilla cake, cookie butter buttercream and cookie butter, top with these Lotus Crunchiesand another Biscoff Cookie. 💋🤌🏽

Cake Packaging

Once stacked and layered, you can leave your cake as is for a deliciously rustic look or decorate it with buttercream or fondant as you please. If you desire the look I have created with cake collars, here’s all the info you need to know.

Cake collars are strips of acetate paper that is used in chocolate decorating but as you can see also great for wrapping cakes.

To wrap the cake using a cake collar, simply measure the circumference of the cake, cut the cake collar and wrap around cake securing with your cake business logo sticker or tape. Another option is to build inside the cake collar like I did in my Cookie Butter Mini Cake Tutorial.

Start by laying your first layer of cake and buttercream. Then, wrap the cake layers with the acetate cake collar. Fill in with the remaining layers.

These cakes are so easy to make and gives a tasty look at your work that will have your customers drooling! I hope you enjoy this cookie butter cake tutorial and if you decide to give it try, be sure to tag me @thestationbakery on Instagram and share this out with all of your baking friends!

Until next time, PEACE! ✌🏽
